Who are you as a leader?
John Maxwell, a renowned leadership expert, once said, “a leader is one who is most like themselves.” Having reflected, ask yourself, ‘so, who am I as a leader?’
To help you answer this question, consider these 3 distinguishing attributes:
Your intentions - always ask yourself, “what are my intentions in saying /doing this? Your intentions never lie. Depending on your intentions, others will either experience you as selfless or selfish, caring or uncaring, accepting or judgmental.
Your intimacy – how open are you to letting others in-to-me-see? Are you vulnerable and willing to let others into what you think and feel? The greater your vulnerability, the greater your possibilities.
Your impact – what difference do you make, and what value do you add to others? Who you are is found in what you find meaning in being and purpose in doing.
